What happens from
arrival to treatment.
The consultation and treatment happen in the same appointment at Beauty Affairs MediSpa. Here is the full sequence from the moment you arrive.
You are greeted and asked to complete a short intake form covering current medications, relevant medical history, previous skin treatments, and your main concerns. This is the foundation of the consultation — complete it honestly.
5 minutesThe practitioner examines your skin in treatment areas — checking tissue laxity, skin quality, depth of concern, and overall suitability. They are confirming that Ultraformer MPT is the right treatment for your specific concern and identifying which areas and cartridge depths will be most effective.
10 – 15 minutesThe practitioner explains which areas will be treated, which cartridge depths they will use and why, the shot count for your session, and what results are realistically achievable for your specific concern. This is when you ask your questions — before any treatment begins.
5 – 10 minutesThe practitioner reviews any items from your intake form that may affect suitability — current medications, recent treatments, or medical history. If there are any contraindications, treatment is postponed until they are resolved. This is a clinical safeguard, not a commercial one.
Part of the skin assessmentOnce suitability is confirmed, the treatment area is cleansed and a coupling gel applied. Topical anaesthetic may be offered depending on your sensitivity and the areas being treated. The Ultraformer MPT handpiece is applied and the session begins.
5 minutes prepTreatment takes 30–90 minutes depending on scope. Afterwards, the practitioner provides written aftercare instructions and explains the results timeline — 2–6 months for collagen remodelling to complete. You leave with a clear picture of what to expect.
30 – 90 min treatmentThe clinical assessment —
what they are looking at.
Understanding what the practitioner is assessing helps you prepare relevant information and ask better questions. The assessment is clinical — it determines your specific treatment protocol, not just whether you are suitable.
Six questions to ask
at your consultation.
The most important question. The shot count defines the scope of your treatment. Get a specific number — not "full face" without a shot count attached.
Different depths target different layers. A practitioner who explains their depth selection for your specific anatomy is demonstrating clinical depth — not just following a standard protocol.
Results depend on your skin, age, lifestyle, and the degree of laxity. A practitioner who gives you an honest, specific answer rather than broad promises is the one to trust.
Collagen remodelling takes 2–6 months. Immediate visible lifting is normal — but the full result develops gradually. Ask your practitioner what to expect at 4 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months.
Ask specifically about sun exposure, skincare products, exercise, and any treatments to avoid post-session. Written aftercare is a sign of a thorough provider.
This question invites the practitioner's honest clinical opinion. A practitioner who tells you one session is sufficient is more trustworthy than one who immediately recommends a course of three for every client.
What affects suitability —
and what to disclose.
These are the main factors the practitioner will review at consultation. Disclosing all relevant history is in your interest — contraindications exist to protect outcomes, not to exclude clients unnecessarily.
If you are unsure whether something in your history is relevant, disclose it anyway. The practitioner will advise. The consultation exists precisely to have this conversation.
